This full day tour begins with a hike through the tropical forest of the world’s only Jaguar Preserve (the Cockscomb Jaguar Reserve) to a refreshing jungle pool and waterfall. After enjoying a dip and an educational walk where your guide will show you some of the amazing things about our tropical forest, we return to Maya Centre village for a delicious tamales lunch and then get hands on with chocolate at Che’il Chocolate Company. Here we explore an organic cacao farm and learn about how cacao trees are cultivated. During harvesting season we get to sample a ripe cacao fruit. Returning to Che’il’s headquarters we learn how to make our own chocolate using traditional Maya stone tools.
