This home style cooking class comes to you! Enjoy learning about Belizean Creole cooking in the comfort of your vacation rental. Our instructor is Cara Sierra, private chef and daughter of Therese and Marcello Sierra, pioneer restaurateurs in Placencia Village who founded Omar’s Restaurant. Enjoy a Belizean appetizer or boca while with her expert guidance we cook Belizean Creole style rice and beans in coconut milk that we make ourselves.This iconic dish is accompanied by your choice of the following, (one choice per class, with options for vegetarians/vegans/pescatarians): Belize’s famous stewed chicken OR creole style fish filet OR a coconut curry of local vegetables, along with fried plantain, vinaigrette coleslaw and a traditional habanero and onion sauce that we make ourselves. NOTE: All options are gluten free. Accommodates vegan/vegetarian upon request. Class available for both lunch and dinner.
